Abstract

In the context of digital transformation, the social
impacts and ethical risks of engineering are becoming
increasingly prominent, requiring engineering ethics
education to move beyond knowledge transmission toward
value formation and decision-making competence. Taking the
compulsory course Engineering and Society for electronic
information majors at Xi’an Jiaotong University as a case,
this study explores a technology-supported curriculum
reform pathway for integrating engineering ethics education
with curriculum-based ideological and political education.
The reform is carried out from four aspects: course
objectives, content system, teaching methods, and platform
support. The practice shows that this reform helps enhance
students’ understanding of engineering risks, social
responsibility, and sustainable development, while
strengthening their ethical awareness and judgment in
complex contexts.
