Abstract: When fire incidents occur, individuals often struggle to make timely and accurate decisions due to a lack of practical emergency response experience, leading to delayed evacuation and even casualties. This study integrates Scenario-Based Virtual Reality (SVVR) with a dynamic multi-path game mechanism to develop a fire evacuation training game aimed at enhancing Recognition-Primed Decision (RPD) abilities. The game employs 360-degree real-world imagery to construct an office fire scenario, consisting of five levels: a pantry, office, meeting room, storage room, and server room. A total of 30 adult participants were recruited. Through a scenario-based gameplay experience and questionnaire evaluation, this study examined learners’ experiences and decision-making abilities. The results indicate that participants reported positive feedback in terms of flow, game experience, and situational cues. The findings preliminarily suggest that integrating SVVR with dynamic multi-path decision-making and guided scaffolding design yields promising learning effectiveness.Downloads
