A Review of Research Progress on the Innovation of Higher Education Curriculum Teaching Empowered by Artificial Intelligence

The new generation of artificial intelligence technology, with its powerful versatility, permeability, and subversiveness, has brought about profound changes to higher education. Based on the literature analysis method, this paper combs through the core journal papers at home and abroad since 2020 on the teaching of higher education courses empowered by artificial intelligence. According to different research focuses, it divides the application scenarios into the innovation of artificial intelligence teaching models, the integration of artificial intelligence and curriculum construction, and the role of artificial intelligence in student development. It also combs through and introduces the important research viewpoints of each category, aiming to present the overall context of this field. On this basis, it is proposed that the empowerment of artificial intelligence in higher education curriculum teaching has achieved initial results, and future research should focus on aspects such as the practical implementation of artificial intelligence in higher education curriculum teaching.
