LEARN is a picture-based AI oral learning platform co-developed by the Singapore Institute of Technology and Nanyang Technological University. Designed for lower primary students, the platform supports synchronous multilingual learning in Chinese, Malay, and Tamil. It integrates natural language processing, speech recognition, and personalized feedback to provide contextualized oral practice through image-guided tasks. Centered on the concept of multilingual synchronous development, this study outlines the platform’s design process and collaborative framework across languages. Key features such as content alignment, intelligent feedback, and cross-linguistic adaptation are examined. Preliminary pilot use highlights both the platform’s effectiveness and areas for improvement, offering insights into AI-driven approaches to oral language learning in multilingual primary education settings.
