Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, while demonstrably enhancing efficiency, presents a potential risk of overemphasizing quantifiable metrics and streamlined processes. This focus on efficiency can inadvertently overshadow crucial, albeit less measurable, aspects of education, such as the vital emotional connection between teachers and students, the importance of exploration and reflection in the learning journey, and the cultivation of critical thinking and creativity. This paper explores the limitations of instrumental rationality within the educational context, examines the challenges posed by the application of AI, and underscores the enduring significance of emotional intelligence, creative thinking, and moral education in the age of AI.
