Abstract

This study centers on the “VR Cool Learning – Dynamic Earth” program, integrating Virtual Reality (VR) technology into high school geography education to explore the impact of immersive learning on students’ understanding of geomorphological changes. The curriculum focuses on river and coastal landforms, where students use Oculus Quest 2 headsets and iPads to interact with educational geography applications. Through collaborative learning, they experience dynamic processes such as erosion and deposition, especially along meanders and wave-formed coastlines. Emphasizing the core competencies of B2 (technological and media literacy) and C2 (teamwork and interpersonal communication), students engage in self-directed learning using WSQ forms and task-based exploration. Findings suggest that students demonstrated high engagement and significantly improved their conceptual grasp of landform development. This research supports the integration of STEAM-oriented VR modules into geography instruction to foster spatial thinking and interdisciplinary inquiry.
