This study examines the impact of participating in external STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) competitions on school-based STEAM development. It analyzes the benefits of teachers leading these competitions, such as stimulating students' interest in STEAM fields, providing role models, and enhancing language proficiency through international exposure. The study also highlights how these experiences foster curriculum innovation, improve teaching quality, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and elevate the school's reputation. Specifically, teachers can introduce new technologies, design interdisciplinary projects, increase practical application opportunities, and enhance students' problem-solving abilities, technological awareness, and ethical judgment.
